Filter media rolls

Filter media roll materials :

Viscose

  • Composed of 90% natural fibers (cellulose), with chemical binding.
  • Good value for money.
  • Fragile when wet, its use is limited to filters with “flat” technology.

Viscose / Polyester

  • The polyester enhances the mechanical strength of the media to compensate for the fragility of wet viscose.
  • It maintains good permeability, with its filtration performance depending on the cake formed on the media.
  • A technically interesting product, suitable for both neat oil and emulsions.
  • Sufficient mechanical strength for use on all types of gravity filters.

Thermally bonded polyester

  • Composed of 100% synthetic polyester fibers with thermal bonding.
  • Completely chemically inert.
  • High mechanical, chemical, and thermal resistance.
  • Excellent permeability, especially with high-viscosity neat oil.

Needle-punched polyester

  • Composed of 100% polyester fibers, mechanically bonded through needle punching.
  • Its manufacturing process makes the product highly homogeneous, ensuring a high level of nominal efficiency. It is primarily used in processes requiring the filtration of fine particles, such as finishing and superfinishing operations (grinding, polishing, lapping, sharpening, etc.) or for machined materials that generate a significant amount of fine particles (carbide, glass, ceramics, etc.). Additionally, it is recommended for protecting high-pressure screw volumetric pumps.
  • Equally effective with emulsions and neat oil, it allows for the formation of substantial filtration cakes.
  • Can be used with any type of filtration system.

Polypropylene

  • Made from 100% polypropylene fibre. Thermal binder. It is characterised by the ‘welding points’ present on all the reels.
  • This range is very homogeneous and very thin, giving it a high level of nominal efficiency.
  • Oleophilic by nature, it is rarely used on whole oils. On the other hand, it will tend to remove foreign oils from emulsions.
  • Mechanically, chemically and thermally resistant, it can be used on any filtration system.
